On April 21, J. Dennis Chalk (RSCC Vice President & General Manager of Exane, Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Products) became a recipient of the 23rd. Annual Charles D. Scott Distinguished Career Award by The Wire & Cable Manufactrurers’ Alliance.

WIRE & CABLE MANUFACTURERS ALLIANCE-
A HISTORY OF SERVING WIRE & CABLE INDUSTRY MANAGEMENT
The Wire & Cable Manufacturers’ Alliance (WCMA), established in 2004, continues activities of its predecessor organization, the Wire & Cable Clubs of America. The original Clubs were established to provide a business forum where wire and cable industry executives and representatives could meet to discuss developments affecting the industry, long and short term.

THE CHARLES D. SCOTT DISTINGUISHED CAREER AWARD
The Charles D. Scott Distinguished Career Award was established in 1985 by the membership of The New England Wire & Cable Club in association with Dick Callahan and his publication, Wire Industry News, to give public recognition to individuals in the wire and cable field who have served in the industry for a minimum of twenty five years and during that time have demonstrated outstanding professional acumen along with personal attributes of an exceptional degree.

The Award is named for the late Charles D. Scott (1915-1983), founder and president of Northeast Wire Co., Holyoke, Massachusetts, who, as an outstanding businessman, kind and helpful friend and good citizen, personified those qualities which are the basis for the Award bearing his name.

Dennis Chalk’s award citation reads:
“In recognition of steadfast and dedicated service to
the wire and cable industry, members of the Wire & Cable
Manufacturers’ Alliance have selected J. Dennis Chalk
as a recipient of its Distinguished Career Award.

Industry colleagues salute the recipient for professional
attainments and outstanding qualities of mind and character
which have earned him or her the wire industry’s
esteem, affection, and respect.”
