The RSCC Exane® name is synonymous in the upstream oil and gas market for its quality, reliability and longevity in the field.  In 1974, RSCC innovated the design of the present day IEEE “Type P cable”, introducing the Exane® product line as a high performance solution for cables installed in extreme conditions on drilling rigs.   At the time, the IEEE-45 specifications were written almost solely around the Exane® design.

The VITALink® family of circuit integrity cables employs innovative technology that allows cables to survive and operate during a fire. At the heart of this technology is a unique silicone rubber insulation material that ceramifies and maintains physical & electrical integrity when exposed to flame conditions.

Recent product developments include:

  • 2-Hour Fire ratings on (UL) Types MC meeting UL 2196 (industry first)

In 2014, RSCC gained approval for product with 1 HR and 2 HR listings for its MC (metal clad) cable product lines when MI cable is the only other market alternative with higher installation costs involved.

The VITALink® Petrochemical family of products have been designed as a flexible alternative to stainless steel MI cable. The design allows the cables to be rated for 30 minutes to 1 hour rapid rise profile at 2000°F for petrochemical hydrocarbon pool fires.
